A Bird's Eye View

Maryville Aged Care Hostel, in the foothills of the Dandenong Ranges in Victoria, has established the country's first bird watchers' club in an aged care facility, in conjunction with the Bird Observers Club of Australia.

 
What is an Accommodation Charge?

In addition to the daily care fee, those Nursing Home residents who have assets valued above specified levels pay an Accommodation Charge as set by the Commonwealth Government. These guidelines are updated periodically by the government.
