A Bird's Eye View

Maryville Aged Care Hostel, in the foothills of the Dandenong Ranges in Victoria, has established the country's first bird watchers' club in an aged care facility, in conjunction with the Bird Observers Club of Australia.

 
How can I help?

Good Shepherd Aged Services acknowledges and values the contribution made by volunteers.

If you would like to become a volunteer or you know of anyone who may be interested in assisting us with daily living activities, please contact the Activities Coordinator.

Some of the things that volunteers are currently assisting Good Shepherd Aged Services with includes: art therapy, mosaics, singing group, walk and talk program, footy tipping, playing cards or board games, knitting groups, bringing grandchildren to visit, reading to the sight impaired, write letters, one on one visits to residents, the list goes on.
